Before you begin your marketing campaign think about what it is you want to tell your target audience. What do you want to happen as a result, what ACTION do you want them to take from reading your advert?
A good place to start is to identify any PROBLEMS that your ideal client has and offer a SOLUTION that will prompt them to take ACTION
Write about topics that are of interest to your target audience so that it feels as if you are speaking directly to them.
Don’t be afraid to use your ‘voice’ in your copy instead of sounding like a robot. Have a conversation that will be more RELATABLE to your audience. If you want to use humour then do it! Marketing copy doesn’t always have to be serious!
Create an emotional connection. 95% of purchasing decisions take place in the subconscious mind. Buyers purchase on emotion and rationalise it later!
Keep your copy SHORT & SIMPLE – getting to the point quickly will make your advert easier to read and more people are likely to read it
Create headlines that are super catchy and ATTENTION GRABBING
Make sure the words that you use sound like normal conversation – Dont use big fancy words (check out the list of POWER WORDS below for a little inspo)
Write your copy down first and spend time perfecting it. Step away from it for a while and come back with fresh eyes and make any changes before finalising
